Kid's Fund

As the school year begins, Paula Sheldon and Kay DiStefano are in contact with the CCPS school nurses to find out the most needed items to help the school population. Here's what they are requesting you bring to the next luncheon.

• bottled water and juice boxes
• cheese or peanut butter crackers
• granola bars or breakfast bars
• fruit snacks
• unisex sweatpants for children - size S, M, & L
• unisex sweatpants for adults - size S, M, L, & XL
• underwear - boys and girls - size 5 - 14
• underwear - women - S, M, & L

Some of our retired colleagues have moved on geographically, if that is your situation, you can still participate in our community outreach. Monetary donations to support our nurses are always welcome. Our treasurer keeps a "KIDS FUND" donation total that is made available for Kay and Paula to shop for the nurses. Just make a check payable to CecilRSPA and write “Kids Fund Donation” in the lower left corner.

Mail your check to:

Ways We Support Education

One of the ways we supported our school community is by purchasing supplies for students.

Staff members are always looking for ways to enhance student learning. We provide mini-grants to several teachers during the school year.

Investing in the future of education is important for our country to grow. Thus we award scholarships for juniors who are enrolled in education.

The Cecil Retired School Personnel Association (CecilRSPA) is affiliated with the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association (MRSPA). The purpose is to improve the general welfare of Cecil County Public School retirees and promote a continued connection to the public schools and community. Membership in the organization is open to all retired teachers, administrators, supervisors, paraprofessionals, and supporting services staff. The CecilRSPA holds four business meetings annually with a luncheon and program; all are open to the entire membership.

The Maryland Retired School Personnel Association inspires the dedication, commitment, skills and abilities of its members in service to fellow retirees and the entire community in an ever-changing world.
