The Cecil County Retired School Personnel Association announces its 36th Annual Memorial Scholarship program. To date the fund has awarded over $44,950. To be eligible, students must be graduates of a Cecil County Maryland public high school, majoring in the field of Elementary or Secondary Education and entering their junior or senior year of college. The value of the scholarship is up to $1000.00.

CCRSPA has awarded 52 scholarships since 1987, totaling $44,950. The scholarship committee includes Charlotte Mehoskey, Libby McCullough, Charlene Metzger (chair), Marie Madron, and Anne Humphrey.
Samaah Wahid, an Elkton High School graduate, is a rising senior at Towson University, majoring in elementary/special education.
